Don't freeze your winter.

Keep yourself safe from sickness this winter.

Respiratory viruses — including COVID-19, flu, and RSV — cause illnesses that affect the nose, throat, and breathing passages. Stay safe this winter by following guidelines that can protect you and the people you care about.

Here’s what you can do:

Get vaccinated now for:

• Stay home if you’re sick.
• If you test positive for an illness, ask about treatment options.
• Wear a mask if you’re immunocompromised or during times when virus infections are rising.

Isolation

CDC has recently updated isolation recommendations for those with respiratory viruses. View the CDC’s guidance on it. See the prevention recommendations here. CDC offers separate, specific guidance for health care settings (COVID-19, flu, and general infection prevention and control). Federal civil rights laws may require reasonable modifications or reasonable accommodations in various circumstances. Nothing in this guidance is intended to detract from or supersede those laws.
